The E-Type combines the classic appearance of the Series III with painstakingly restored and intentionally optimized mechanics. The result is not merely a show car, but an extraordinarily well-maintained classic explicitly built for long-distance cruising and sustained higher speeds.

The vehicle was first registered in the USA in 1973. In 2010, the penultimate owner imported the E-Type—which was already exceptionally well-preserved and roadworthy at the time—to Germany and used it as the foundation for a comprehensive rebuild tailored to his personal vision.

Over a period of approximately three years, the Jaguar underwent an extensive "nut-and-bolt" restoration. The body was completely stripped of paint and rebuilt. The engine, front and rear axles, braking system, ignition system, and numerous other components were thoroughly overhauled, while other assemblies were completely renewed or technically upgraded.

During the rebuild, the E-Type received its period-popular 1970s Light Blue paintwork. The interior was fully upholstered in dark blue leather. Grey carpets and the light grey fabric soft top provide a stylish contrast. The classic round instruments were fitted with chrome bezels. Additionally, more extensive thermal insulation was installed between the drivetrain area and the cabin to reduce heat exposure in the cockpit, especially during longer drives.

In 2014, the vehicle was passed on to a friend of the owner at the time and was subsequently with its last owner.

The classic 5.3-liter V12 was combined with a range of sensible technical enhancements. These include a reinforced cooling system with a high-performance radiator and fan, a reinforced water pump, and an additional full-flow oil cooler with thermostatic control. Especially on a V12 E-Type, these measures contribute to high thermal stability, even over long distances.

In place of the original transmission, a 5-speed Getrag manual gearbox was installed. This is complemented by a reinforced clutch and a weight-reduced flywheel. A limited-slip differential, GAZ coilover suspension, steel braided brake lines, and power steering round off the driveability-focused technical configuration.

In June 2024, the Jaguar was fitted with new tires. In 2025 and 2026, a further €11,000+ was invested in the mechanics, ensuring the car was maintained at a very high standard not only visually, but especially technically. The vehicle is ready for immediate drive-away and designed for long-distance travel—even at sustained higher speeds.

The current read odometer display is approx. 42,300 km. During the vehicle build, the speed and odometer units were converted from mph to km/h; the stated figure is therefore explicitly to be understood as the read odometer display.
