For sale is an exceptionally well-maintained and extensively documented Porsche 356 B 1600 Cabriolet in the rarely beautiful color combination of Champagne Yellow with an original dark green leather interior.

The vehicle was first registered on July 1, 1962, and features the classic 1,582 cc 4-cylinder boxer engine producing 44 kW (60 hp). It is a 2+2-seater cabriolet with two regular seats and two additional rear occasional seats.

The current odometer reading is approximately 23,000 km.

Following production in Germany, the vehicle was sold to the USA and returned to Germany in 2005. Since then, the Porsche has been in the continuous possession of the current owner's family for over 21 years. As part of the repatriation process, European headlights were naturally fitted.

The vehicle was driven exclusively on seasonal license plates and only in fair weather. Throughout the entire ownership of the current family, the Porsche was permanently stored and protected inside a climate-controlled air tent.

An original Porsche service booklet is present. It contains period-correct entries as well as original dealer and service stamps. The chassis number and engine number are clearly identifiable from this document. In addition, the original owner's manual for the Porsche 356 B, a Porsche Classic Card from Porsche Center Hannover, and a digital version of the Porsche workshop manual are available.

Furthermore, an original Porsche Certificate is present for vehicle identification number (VIN) 157055. This confirms, among other things, that the engine and gearbox numbers match the vehicle. It is therefore an original matching-numbers vehicle. The certificate also states that in the 1962 model year, a total of only 1,568 units of the Porsche 356 B Cabriolet type were manufactured.

The vehicle's original US license plates are also preserved.

The car has already passed its classic car evaluation and holds the coveted German "H" registration for historic vehicles. The next main inspection (MOT) is valid until September 2026. Upon request and by arrangement, a new main inspection can be carried out prior to handover.

The running costs are remarkably manageable for a classic Porsche. Fully comprehensive insurance amounts to around €33 per month, and the vehicle tax is approximately €17 per month.

The Porsche has been comprehensively restored with a restoration investment exceeding €40,000. The work was carried out by a specialized workshop in Wuppertal that focuses exclusively on the Porsche 356. Extensive photographic documentation as well as numerous original invoices for repairs, spare parts, and restoration work are fully available.

As part of the restoration, the engine underwent a complete overhaul. This also included the renewal of the pistons and cylinders in the "49er" specification. The gearbox was professionally overhauled, and the convertible top was completely rebuilt from the ground up.

Additionally, the vehicle was taken to Porsche Center Hannover for a thorough check and inspection of the engine and drivetrain. The instrument cluster lighting and the ventilation system were also renewed.

The braking system was replaced recently and is in like-new condition. Numerous past TÜV reports, combined with the remaining paperwork, provide exceptional and clear proof of this vehicle's history.

Both technically and visually, the Porsche presents itself in excellent overall condition. The panel gaps on the doors, hood, and engine lid are perfectly even. The bodywork shows absolutely no corrosion, dents, or dings, retaining an exceptionally well-cared-for appearance. The engine and engine compartment also present themselves as clean and dry. The engine impresses with very good cold-start behavior and a smooth, clean idle.

A Porsche wooden steering wheel is currently fitted. The original steering wheel is also included with the car. Additionally, the Porsche features an elegant chrome luggage rack mounted on the rear.

The vehicle is equipped with 185/70 R15 89H tires on chrome rims. The tinted glass is free of damage and in very good condition.

The soft top is also in a very well-maintained and fully functional condition.

The original interior in dark green leather displays a beautiful and authentic patina. Overall, the vehicle shows only minimal signs of use and wear consistent with its age. There is no major damage to the interior, mechanics, paintwork, or bodywork. During the current family's ownership, there have been no accidents or body damage of any kind. No accident damage is known from the previous history either.

A few years ago, the vehicle was officially graded with a condition score of 2 (Good Condition). The corresponding valuation appraisal is available, as is the extensive condition and restoration documentation.

In summary, this is an exceptionally well-documented, technically superbly maintained, and visually highly cohesive Porsche 356 B 1600 Cabriolet with a traceable history, matching numbers, and extensive original documentation.
