For sale is an exceptional Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith featuring the rare Sedanca de Ville coachwork by H.J. Mulliner. Even at first glance, it is clear that this is no ordinary Silver Wraith, but rather one of the most exclusive and highly sought-after body variants of the entire model range.

The Silver Wraith was the first post-war Rolls-Royce and simultaneously the last model from the brand to be delivered exclusively as a chassis. Subsequently, each vehicle received its individual bodywork from one of the most renowned British coachbuilders. This resulted in a multitude of unique automobiles – each with its own distinct character, often produced in very limited numbers.

This particular example features the exceptionally rare Sedanca de Ville coachwork by H.J. Mulliner. A defining characteristic is the removable roof over the chauffeur, while the rear passenger compartment remains permanently enclosed. This design originates from the era of classic chauffeur-driven limousines, combining stately luxury with extraordinary elegance. Out of a total of just 1,883 Silver Wraith chassis produced, only a few vehicles were completed in this exclusive configuration, making this variant one of the most desirable and rarest models of the series today.

According to the Rolls-Royce Register, Sir Alexander Korda, one of Great Britain's most prominent film producers who was knighted by the British Royal Family, was the proud owner of this vehicle. Such prominent provenance gives this Rolls-Royce exceptional historical significance and makes it a true collector's automobile.

A comprehensive and period-correct restoration was carried out in the 1980s, placing particular emphasis on preserving the original substance. All chrome elements were professionally refurbished, the complete burl walnut wood trim was restored, and the interior was renewed to a high standard. Furthermore, all necessary work was performed on the bodywork, underbody, suspension, braking system, and engine, so that the vehicle presents itself today in an exceptionally good and well-maintained state of preservation.

Particularly noteworthy is the high degree of originality. For instance, the vehicle still retains its original radio from the 1946 build year, along with numerous other authentic details that impressively underscore its historical character.

At the end of 2025, the Silver Wraith underwent a comprehensive technical overhaul. The engine, electrical system, suspension, and braking system were fully inspected and reworked. All operating fluids were renewed, new oils, filters, and seals were installed, all lubrication points were serviced, the vehicle's electrical system was thoroughly checked, the carburetor was ultrasonically cleaned, and the engine underwent an endoscopic inspection. Accordingly, the vehicle now impresses with smooth, reliable engine running and an excellent overall technical condition.

In June 2025, the Rolls-Royce passed its main inspection without any defects. The underbody, braking system, gearbox, and engine are in excellent condition. The entire vehicle is absolutely rust-free. The paintwork shows only minor, age-related signs of use.

Since 1987, the vehicle had been in the possession of its last owner and was regularly maintained. Oil changes were performed approximately every 500 kilometers. It was stored exclusively in a garage, which has preserved its exceptionally good condition to this day. The spare parts supply for the Silver Wraith remains outstanding.
